Hey, just bought a Topoo Vape .. i know it's chinese , i know it will break in 6 months but i got it shipped for less than 30 bucks and i wanted to try a vape out before shelling out 349.00 for the custom SSV (which is what i will get if i even remotely like the P.O.S. Special) anyway i'm new to vaping... been smoking out of nice bongs for 10+ yrs( Roor Sheldon Black etc..), any advice to a vaping newbie??? how can i get the most out of my P.O.S. vape so i will be encouraged to get a beeter one.. any help or thoughts greatly appreciated. yhanks
I can tell you that with that cheap vape probably comes lead or other toxic metals in it, and it will not function nearly as well as even a Magic flight launch box. so saying you would buy a SSV if you like this vape is a terrible way to start out. But just start the vape out low then slowly increase temperature when you stop getting hits and stir every few hits. pack small bowls like .1-.2. Hold your hits as long as possible. Any visible vapor is wasted, and hit it slowly.
So let me get this straight. You're decision to buy an SSV is based solely on the fact that you "remotely" like the Topoo? It is this very logic that turns many people off to vaping entirely, which is really a shame. They either buy a cheap Chinese knock off like this which is known to have inaccurate and fluctuating temperature displays and controllers with possible toxic substances used in its construction and being that they have such an unsatisfying experience through no fault of their own other than their decision to buy this vape in the first place, they decide to give up on vapor completely, or.................the buy a better vape but never learn how to use it properly. Both scenarios above is a real drag being that vaping is soooooo much more healthier, tastes a whole bunch better and can save you a whole bunch of money being that you can end up using a while less bud to get to the same high as you would with smoking. Ok, so back to your question. First off, crank up that vape to the highest setting it will go and leave it there for about 5 to 10 minutes to help burn off any bad shit that was used in it's construction. Do NOT draw on it at this time. After that, let the vape totally cool off. Then, turn the dial till the temp reading states 375F (190C). Now who in the hell knows if this kind of vape is displaying the correct temp or not, but it's a good place to start. Grind up your bud to a medium grind, fill bowl half way, and draw. Don't hit it like a bong. Draw slowly. You don't want the bud to burn, you want it to vape. If it starts tasting like burnt popcorn or the bud is starting to turn black, you either need to draw faster or turn down the temp. Don't do both together. Do one at a time until you get the process down. The bud should taste very good along with the bowl turning a light golden brown to dark brown. Stir the bowl between hits. Hope this helps but to anyone else reading this, please don't do this. I too wanted to know if I liked vapor before spending the big bucks on a vaporizer, so I bought a VaporGenie (50 bucks) and learned how to use it properly before making my decision to upgrade and buy another. It's a great, cheap starter vape and is a MUCH better way to go than to buy a Chinese made knock-off to use as a baseline in making your decision to stick with vapor or not.
