Piece Dilema!! need input.

    My Dilema is this. So i live at home with my parents, i'm a 19 year old college student and love to smoke weed. I have two pieces for smoking at my house, i have a 1 1/2 foot mini glass bong named St. Patrick because i bought it on St. Patricks day. The other piece is a Sherlock Bubbler which is really my pride and joy, his name is Rabbit because it kind of looks like a rabbit. When i'm out with my friends i dont like to bring either cause usally were smoking in a car or outside and i dont want someone i dont know drop a $80 piece and not pay me back. Plus i'm kind of parnoid when people use it i say "You break it you buy it" :) with a smile. Thats not a very nice thing to say when your smoking but i just want people to know.


    Anyway I am looking for a piece for smoking with friends in cars and whatnot. I was thinking something compact and light, but that can still give me that punch a good bong rip will.

    Here are some of my ideas tell me what you think is best?

    1. Steamroller
    2. Chillums
    3. Metal Pipes also called proto pipes i think?

    Neither of em dude...Invest in a nice spoon. They can be bought for a measly 15 bucks, and if I were to break it, I wouldnt be that mad to pay 15 bones...Id take the broken peice home and scrape that sweet sweet resin.

    your right i probably could just buy a $15 spoon, but spoons arent really my personality i dont mind smoking out of them i just wanted something alittle diffrent plus i'm sick of having spoons break on me.

    Well, steamrollers are usually too bulky to carry around easily. And metal has a bad taste. So, I'd go with the chillum

    But if the steamroller isnt that bulky, Id probably get that instead.

    If im gonna be outside or in a car i only bring joints/blunts. I'm not about to get caught with any paraphinalia by the cops. I'm gonna eat the joint and go home not arrested.

    Go to your local headshop and pic out a nice spoon. Something that catches your eye when you go in there. It will be a nice investment to add the the collection.

    I would suggest a smoking stone. These little glass pieces are ovular, about 2.5"x1.5" with a little bowl (2-hitter) and a carb. They do hit pretty harsh but at least your friends want be taking giant rips on it. You can easily carry one of these in your pocket and no one would ever notice and they may be better for the car because they are smaller and won't stand out as much as a larger pipe.

    i prefer chillums.

    they are a breeze to clean first of all.

    i find the area under the actual bowl of a spoon is impossible to get clean, where a chillum is easily cleaned with some hot water and 2-3 q-tips.


    secondly, i LOVE the way a nice chillum hits.

    Thx for all the input so far guys. I forgot to mention that rolling joints/blunts is pretty much what i do right now for when i smoke in a car/outside. But i'm getting pretty sick of rolling and so are my lungs, also looking for a new way to smoke.

    If you lived north i would say a metal pipe since its winter but since you live in florida, go with the cillium. If anyone ever has a chance to smoke a metal bowl while its snowing out you'll be amazed at how well it cools the smoke.

    Why don't you just buy a spoon and call it a day?

    When I smoke in my car with 3 of my friends, I'll either bring my bubbler, spoon, or hell, I've even brought my Illadelph with a bottle of water [my friends know the "break it buy it rule"]


    Just a matter of personal preference I guess.

    Pay 50 cents to a doller roll a blunt you smoke it, its gone no carying around a pipe just a lighter. id recamend buying a king pin wrap so you can have a good BLUNT carying case
