hi guys... ok so here it goes.. as i told you all before this is my first grow which has gone into flowering 12 days ago and still no sex... i am posting some pics so you tell me what you think please.. i have 4 plants 2 of which i topped thanks to the good thread in the top of the forum page by dierwolf and i am also using dierwolf's lst method the other i left alone... its just bag seed i got just to use this grow as a learning experience for my next grow when i plan on buying some seeds... any comments will be greatly appreciated... just a comment, i'd like to say that before becoming a member of grasscity i didn't know shit about plants let alone growing under lights etc... i have read read and read well and this is the result.. thanks
the leaves seem to be drooping slightly but other than that they look ok as for showing sex don't worry different strains take longer than others to show and at the end of the day you said you were using this grow for expirience so the very fact that you have got them this far is a good thing i take it you do know what you are looking for when looking for what sex they are ....good luck with having more females than males i will subscribe to this thread and check your progress keep us posted
take close shots of the nodes and we can help, they look overwateredbut thats to me... Im not a soil grower....I can help you with sex if you get closer....
thanks man u really think so? i'm using 5 25 watt cfl's 2 45 watt cfl's and 2 40 watt 4ft flouroscents.. got them positioned on a pulley so i can up and down the lights all together but got the wires of each bulb long enough so i can position them on the lower branches.. they seem to be taking a long time in sexing though they have been on 12/12 for about 12 days now..i vegged for about 5 weeks on 24/0..

Not sure about males showing sex any quicker than females. I think that it all depends on the strain. Be patient and the others will show there sex soon. Because you used bagseed, don't be surprised if you end up with more males than females. For some reason it just seems to happen, at least it did to me. Just make sure if you do grow some males that you yank them before they pollinate your ladies. The pics that you showed us do show signs of overwatering, but I am not 100% sure. It could also be that they just came out of the dark cycle. How long after the dark cycle did you take those pics? Great job for your first grow. Can't wait to see the finished product.
i watered them just before lights out and those pics were taken as soon as the light came back on... still having problems as to when to water them though.. any suggestions??? thanks for the compliment aswell
on watering just stick your finger about 2" down in the soil and if its still damp then you can wait another day or so.make sure the lower parts of your gardening pots stays damp all the time so you keep those roots growing down. They look great . Good luck +rep
hi i just found out that i have a light leak during the dark period.. what will happen please.. the light was coming in from my duct tube for about 1 and a half hour of the 12 hour cycle.. not a lot of light though.. what problems will it cause?? and also could it be possible that its because of this that 3 of my 4 babies haven't shown sex yet???? thanks... will post more pics soon..
i wouldn't worry to much about the light leak now as long as you have sorted it at the end of the day if it has done any damage you could possibly have a hermie on your hands but you can cross that when you come to it as people have already said some strains can show within days while others can take a couple of weeks
Your post was on day 12 of 12/12 lighting, that's not the same thing as day 12 of flowering. Don't start counting flowering until the plants actually start flowering.
No truth to that. Bagseed is just unidentified, it doesn't otherwise have any common characteristic -- could be purebred or hybrid, top quality or crap, indica or sativa, whatever.
I agree with toasty on that their is no sure fire way to tell n e thing from a seed except that well... its a seed. and it should grow ! I GOT SPROUTS ON MINE FINALLY! WOOT

thanks man.... they sprouted on the 22nd december, were in veg for approx 5 weeks and then i put them on 12/12 on the 26th january i am using cfl's... i am giving them miracle grow feed (the granule type that turns the water sky blue) i know a lot of threads say that miracle grow is no good but i had already bought it and i couldn,t afford to go buy a new one... they seem to be liking it though.. i sit with them and talk to them (yes i know i'm crazy) lol.. i also play music for them and shit... lol got one girl up till now and i saw two little hairs on one of the other ones just before lights out so maybe i'll know tomorrow.. fingers crossed for me as i'm hoping to get 3 girls out of the four i have ...
Wow very nice plants. I'm hoping those big ones are all girls for ya. This is the hard part though, watching them bud. One thing to consider, when flowering you don't want to be feeding them much nitrogen, if any. If you can, find a nutrient where the first number is really low, or zero like 0-15-10 or something. It helps the taste in the end. Don't get worried if your bottom leaves start dying, you don't need em anyway.
i have another girllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.... the biggest one is a girl and i think the one i'm doing lst on it is a boy but i'm not sure yet thats 2 out of 4 so far being girlies
