Alright heres a pic of a friends plant that he sent me a pic of. It looks to have groupings of male buds (staminate), but if you look at the pic you can see trichomes on the leaves and amber and white pistils. Anyone got any second thoughts on this, or is this a freak hermie?
now correct me if i am wrong but i understand that seed developed from a hermie plant that pollinates itself is more likely to be hermaphrodites as well.. now if the hermaphroditic problem is a genetic one all ur seeds will likely be hermie, but if its a stress induced hemaphrodite the seeds may not have problems
Lesser quality feminized seeds are known to produce more hermies. If you have good solid genetics the odds of it going hermie are very low indeed. I've seen people torture their plants to shits without a single hermie here on this forum. Personally I prefer the 50/50 odds of normal seeds and simply dump half of my plants after presexing. Then I dump half again of the female plants left that grow less vigorously. This way I end up with good strong females with little chance of ever seeing a hermie, and cheaply too!
sorry about the confusion. what u should do is polinate a fem. plant with the herm. plant and that will give you feminized seeds. try to make sure they are both the same strain that will help even more.
It's not my plant like I said, but I believe he's gonna grow it out for the hell of it while his other plants are vegging in a nother room.
