Photoperiod stop blooming

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by 710isthenew420, Mar 30, 2016.

  1. Hey all, it's been about 2 months 1 week in 12/12 and my ak48 seems to have stopped blooming, buds and sugar leaves have very small specs of developing resin glands but not distinctly clear, Amber, it's now coming on the leaves..

I did chop 3 highest colas because it was touching the light and no other sites were getting light. It's about 2 weeks now it seems like she just stopped. She was supposed to be finishing.

    I put sensi bloom etc..

Strange enough though, bright green shoots are forming at some sites,, I just don't know if I should chop the whole plant so I can iso wash it and start afresh..

Sorry for no pix right now, any idea if I stunted it and if it would continue to flower the existing buds ?

  2. Chopping off 3 colas likely stressed your plant and stopped it or slowed it down a bit. You'll just have to wait it out and let the plant get back to doing it's thing. The only way to know for sure if it's ready for harvest is by looking at the trichomes through some heavy magnification (a loupe is best), so you'll just have to keep an eye on the trichomes to know when the percentage of amber is right for harvest. Always try to avoid cutting on your plants when they are in flower. At that point, they are throwing all their energy into creating and filling out the buds growing on your plants. When you hit them with scissors or start chopping off parts of the plant, it's like chopping off an arm or a leg to a person. Once they go into flower, leave them alone. You could've taken some string and pulled those colas over and tied them down. You would've saved your plant's best buds and avoided light burn. You live, you learn. Just chalk it up to a lesson and go from there. TWW

  3. Thanks TWW!, I tried weighing them down but broke a main branch, i think i vegged it too long so it exploded in growth. Its a small space so ill stick with autoflowering until im done the seeds so i can spend more time taking care of this wild ak48 strain
