Photoperiod manipulation for bigger yields.

  1. I did a search and couldn't find anything so here goes.

    In the last two weeks before harvesting, if you set your lights to be on for 24 hours then off 12 and continue that for the last two weeks, you can increase your yield by 15%.

    Its an interesting short read but I wanted to get some of the more experienced growers from GC opinions.

    Dierwolf, smknvtec, etc, any of you guys want to add comments on this?
     
  2. depends on the strain m8 - some stable strains like skunk1 will take to it - try that with blueberry & u get chicks with dicks ;)
     
  3. Why would this cause certain strains to turn hermaphroditic?
     
  4. because u are changing the photoperiod, it stresses them, some strains are more stress tolerant than others...
