Hello all, I'm approaching the goal line and quite happy. Here is a photo taken yesterday of my trichomes. This is my first run with this strain (Grape Krush by DJ Short). The general feeding schedule I'm using calls for a nutrient change tonight and then starting the flush in 7 days. I've never harvested according to trich colour and I'm a little lost. The photo above would be considered cloudy, correct? Should I give them another weak of nutes or is it time to start the flush? Thanks in advance.
Those look like new developmental trichomes on the actual leaf, and it looks like you're starting to lose heads of the actual developed ones. From this I don't actually see any "cloudy" ones, but rather more clear. You will know when you see a cloudy one, it will look liked a milked cloud of smoke, very cloudy white color to it. Are you growing in soil or hydro? If growing in soil, you don't need to actually do a 2 week flush. It will be impossible to actually get rid of any chemicals once they're in the plant matter. If using hydro, then yes you need to flush prior. All you'll be doing in soil is neglecting the plant of nutes for 2 weeks.
Are you sure? I thought you do need to flush in soil if you are using chemical nutes, that shit crackles when you smoke it if you don't and tastes like ass. You'll get a lot of varying answers to your question, I'm not very experienced with hydro but I think it may be around 10-14 days, just as for soil?
I recently just finished my first grow, pretty much as an experiment to see how I'm gonna design my grow room I fed them only water the day before harvest and the buds are very smooth. The smoothest buds I've ever had! I fed them foxfarm tiger bloom organic nutes with molasses
