If the knowledgable blades of GC can't identify strains using pictures, what makes you think that some software can?
Strains differ from grow to grow so much I think that would be completely impossible. You may find leafly useful though, check it out if you haven't already got it
Leafly is an app will help identify strains based on effects, scent, and they do have pictures. However, you can't really tell by looking at a picture.
