  4. Alright, with thee exception of the ventilation/oscillation fans & one more door I plan on adding in the side, the main flower room is now complete!!!! It took a roll of 6mil 10'x25' Black Plastic, a ZipWall Zipper, 1/2" PVC, some 1/2" fittings, PVC/Copper cutter, Screws to mount the PVC to the studs in the room, & a roll of Gorilla Tape. All for $110!!

    IMG_20150308_142631_8321.jpg

I measured out the PVC and cut it to length and assembled the frame. Then I cut 18ft of plastic and began wrapping it slowly around the frame. The room is 5ft wide by 11ft in length, so after wrapping the plastic along the 11ft PVC frame. I began to pull it tight at the furthest corner and decided to tape it to the ceiling to form a tighter seal and prevent any light leaks. At the bottom I rolled up the access and taped it to the PVC framing and again to the wall to secure it, I will be taping it to the floor as well after I put in the second door. I did the same to the 5ft wall, after everything was taped I went and screwed the PVC fittings and top poles to the studs in the room. Took the ZipWall Zipper and stick it carefully in the places I wanted it, then unzipped and cut the openings running my hand along the adhesive to stick the plastic to the zipper nice and tight. After that I took two 4ft perforated steel angles and screwed them in to the support beams in the roof to hang my light from. When I can I will be getting more steel angles and placing them 16" apart thru the whole length of the roof.

When it was finished it came out so much better then I expected!! There is no light leaks anywhere, even my paid for tents have light leaks around the zipper connectors. I was able to make a velcro flap to secure the bottom of the door to the plastic and prevent any light or openings. I can undo both zippers and roll the panel straight up and attach it to the plastic with velcro so I can carry plants in and out with no issues. I will be adding ventilation ports and another door to better connect my Veg area with the Flower area for moving plants over.

Here is the finished room, my 5x11 Main Flower area!

With the Eclipse on inside, no light leaks!

Speaking of the Eclipse I finally fired her up and she is BRIGHT!! Cant wait to get some plants in under her!

First off here is some info on the light. The SolarEclipse-350 +UVB is 21.65"x21.65" (550mm) & weighs 33lbs (15kg). Actual wattage is 350w with a footprint of 36"x36", suggested distance from the canopy is 24" - 30" during Veg & 20" - 22" from the canopy during Flower. You can also swap out the lenses between 90 degrees, 120 degrees, or go Open COB and use the built in reflectors but I will go into great detail about that in a future post!

For now I took some pictures of the different lighting you get with the different switches. I raised her up as high as I could get, a little over 6ft!

Here she is with the Cree COBs only, using the 90 degree lenses.

    White and Red diodes only.

    UVB bulb only.

    Absolutely stunning light!

  5. Veg update:

Girls are doing fantastic! Still only utilizing the single SolarSPEC-260 over a 4x4 @30"-42" and the growth is absolutely phenomenal!

    IMG_20150310_204724_0191.jpg

We shall start with the No-Till  girls, the BPV clone is doing great bushing up and starting to look more and more like her mother each day

    IMG_20150310_204817_6491.jpg

GSC No-Till is the bushiest I have seen her with no training!! Absolutely stacked and is just taking off, she is the tallest girl in the tent.

    IMG_20150310_204806_5001.jpg

1gal GSC's are doing great, bouncing back from the training and beginning to fill back up.

    IMG_20150310_204827_6031.jpg

Golden Goat Re-Veg is doing amazing!!! Going to be taking clones of her and the BPV tomorrow hopefully!

    IMG_20150310_204759_8641.jpg

Now for the BPV, if my future SCROG attempts go anywhere near as well as this girl did with the training I will be EXTATIC! She is just so massive and is filled all the way to the top of the soil with growth! If I had her in a screen I could just keep training her forever and just watch her Veg she is just so beautiful! haha I am in love and haven't even seen her flower yet!!! xD

She is the next girl I will be flipping to flower and the first to get to go under the Eclipse!! I cant wait!!

  6. looks like jealous sandi from my perspective...jk you definitely know how to apply your knowledge!😋

  7. Flower Update, Day 49:

GSC is doing absolutely amazing! Let the temp dip down into the 60's last night (66) & got the start of some very nice purpling and reds on the leaf tips. Density is going crazy and so is the resin production, so much aroma coming from them now! They are stinking up the whole room haha. Yellowing is progressing a little faster but seems to have halted the last day or so, I hate picking off leaves so they stay until they fall then they get mulched xD

Hope all has been well with everyone out there in the GC!!

  8. man i hope my gsc picks up after seeing this update! ive got one in the yard ill see how she does, but my clone is so slow goin😳

  9. Nice flower room! Fucking awesome!! Looks like you could use another Eclipse in there or are you planning on moving the lights from your tent in there as well?

  10. Haha honestly man after I get to see what this Golden Goat and BPV do yield wise. I'm debating if I even want to keep the GSC mom around. May just do a large run and keep the bud for remembering old times. As if it wasn't for this strain haha man I'd be no where! So I do owe her a lot which is why I think im hanging on haha. But MANNN its time for BIGGER and better things hahaha! She may just get a 1gal to herself to stay idk!

  11. The end plan is to have two SolarSystem-1040's in the Main Flower area. Using 4 SolarSPEC-150's in the 5x8 for Veg and then using the 120 Lenses on the Eclipse in the 2x4 area. All these will eventually be replaced by the same build idea as the Main Flower room. This will give me up to 8ft of height if need be, but that is EVENTUALLY haha.

I am getting one more SolarSPEC-260 and that will complete my first SolarSystem-1040! So I still have a ways to go and it will be a lot of tinkering with lighting and using this for that when I come to it haha. But yes my 260's will be for flower and I'll use 150s for Veg.

  12. Nice man that's going to be sick! Those lights are badass and worth the investment. So jelly of your space.

Hopefully I will get to run my 4x4 with my 1040 here in a few months, it really depends on where the laws sit. I am planning for the long game though, started saving for a 4000w-6000w flower room. That won't be set up until 2 years at the earliest.

  13. Damn bro sounds like you will have quite the space! Haha

1040 in a 4x4 would be amazing and you would get some very nice dense buds!

  14. Or just have big imagination.

  15. Hahahaha I understand that one! I told myself I would eventually have a large enough room to never run out of medicine again! Took me 4years but I am finally here! Haha maybe a little bit of an imagination is all that's needed!

  16. Great looking plants . Love the colors ... As for the "ladybugs" I believe they are Asian beetles. Here is a good link for comparison

  17. Thanks blade. I appreciate the love and information.

PHarmer oh my god where do I start. Master craftsman, that room is massive. Those GSCs are huuugeee, they are hungry for that light and I can't wait to see that 350 in action. Can you explain the purpose of the UVB? Is it just an increase in UV light or what? It looks incredible I love how you can see mainly white light and then the hint of red. Those plants are going to explode when they get under that bad boy. How many plants you planning on running once the room is complete?

And as always a quick update cause you love when I update haha. No pics this round but silver will be on day 77 on Sunday. I'm planning on chopping her down Thursday or so next week as long as trichs look good. Going to take my light down. Use the hangers to hang silver upside down, and have my fans turn off and on at 30 minute intervals for 30 mins making sure no fans are shooting directly at her. Then take her down trim her up, put her in jars with boveda packs and let her sit. Life is good man.

Can't wait to see what you have in store for the future.

  18.
It is said that spectrum of UVB light helps trigger more resin production, THC/Trichomes. Someone can correct me if I am mistaken.

  19. Hey Pharm heres my little Green Crack pile a wooping 46 g..wooohooo lol
