Hi guys,im growing indoor and i bought a pH tester for my soil, no i was wondering if i ever encounter an issue with my pH, could the solutions pH up and down i see all over work if i just added it to the water, a drop at a time, and not too much at a time? reason i ask is because it states "hydroponics"
Yes it will work lemon juice works great for ph down i use a teaspoon to get my ph into the 6's with a droplet testerkit from canadiantire goodluck growing
if its the "general hyproponics" ph soil test kit.....with the blue and orange bottle. my water ph normally is 7.5 and i add 2 drops of ph down per gallon and im at 6.8 (perfect ph) i hope this helps
UP or Down they both do what they say. You will use either or to ph your water. Its pretty easy dude.
exactly....although most household water...depending on where you live.....is ussually a tad bit over 7.....so most of the time you dont even need the up.... check your levels first

63 dollars? Would I be okay just buying bottled water and just testing the pH after I add water by just using my soil probe?
You can find them cheaper and no there different probes. Cost of doing business my friend. THey sell some 20 dollar ones. Google is your friend or just type in PH tester in Amazon.
The issue with electronic soil ph testers there often pretty cheap and you cant calibrate it. If you cant calibrate it then how do you know its right. If your plant is not croaking then I guess the measurement is right.

Right on man,I have a non electronic rapitest pH soil tester,I'm gonna go ahead and buy the stuff,including a water tester. One more question,what should i focus on my water being before feeding? And how long after I feed the nutrients should I test the soil?
For my grows I add nutes to the water ph balance it to 7. I never bother with my soil. I use airpots and watering flushes everything out every time I water just about. Never any issues at least for myself. You should water till you have run off. Heres a simple PH Balancing kit. Its a simple fill the vail up add 3 drops and you get a shade of color not exact it works. It includes the Ph up and ph down solution.
