So as it turns out I do have a ph problem. I tested the ph today and it's around 5... the trouble is I can't seem to get it up. I tested my tap water which has a ph of 8! I have been running that through the bucket trying to get it's ph to rise. It does at first, but towards the end when the runoff is just barely trickling out... it's back at 5!! I don't know what to do about it. I have probably run 10 gallons through it!!! and it still goes back to 5... is there something I should add to the soil to get the ph up? On a side note... the white skunk that I planted the other day is doing fine with ph. I have it planted in a mix that includes miracle grow... so idk. Oh I also tested the nute mix that I use and it's ph was fine too. Frustrated... any suggestions?
Dolomite garden lime is a pH conditioner used by most growers to regulate their pH. The best thing I can think of is some pH up. What kind of meter are you using? What kind of soil is this? Have you mixed in anything?
If you click on the link in my sig it is the grow that I am having the problem with, all of the information is there, and you can post there too if you like
