i have attempted some research on proper PH levels, and how it can affect nutrient uptake etc Q - if I have a reservoir of water with nutes already mixed ( DNF grow A + B ) and my PH is 7.6, should I just be concerned about getting my feed water down to around 6.5? I am using pro-mix for soil, 5 gallon pots, critical mass clones. Q - should I be checking my soil PH regularly,? if the PH from previous water has been improper? Q - what is the easiest and best method for checking soil PH?, I check my water PH with a multi use test kit for water / aquariums only, not the test / dip strips. see photo ^^
I’m pretty sure pro mix is a soil less medium Similar to coco. @Tbone Shuffle should be able to Answer this I’m pretty sure he’s in pro mix. I think you need to PH promix lower than soil like 5.8-6.5 as opposed to 6.5-7. Best way to cheap soil ph is slurry test dig up some soil 2-3” down put it in a shit glass with distilled water and mix until it’s a slurry and take your ph of the mixture.
Promix water only?? Hello boys were are the pmers Sent from my SM-G935T using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Coco is an ingredient in it. But as far as I know the Pro-Mix varieties that you can buy at hydro shops contain lime for ph adjustment. Zero reasons to ph your water/feed.
Ya I’m not familiar with it. So I don’t really know. Makes me curious if one was to add some Dolomite lime to coco if that would carry over the same principles of not needing to ph.... may be time to experiment.
