Hi I tested the soil pH today and it's gone down to 5.5. I think that might be why the leaves on my plants are going a bit blotchy. I can't find anything in the grow-shops for dealing with this. Can anyone recommend a way of raising it a bit. Maybe a weak solution of milk of magnesia or some other alkaline solution? Please help!
There are several additives you can add to water to adjust PH levels. General Hydroponics makes a solution and a powder called Liquid pH Adjusters or powdered pH control. Also Rockwool Formular One pH shifter. Good luck, Greenbudz
Sounds like salts are building up in your soil. If I were you, I would give it only water for a week and see if that helps.
