So I have been looking for a combo meter that is easy to use and tests for ph and ppms. Everyone at the hydro store says get the hanna one, but alot of people on grasscity seem to have problems with them. Any suggestions, and no i dont want to use the powder or chemical one i want a digital one.
hanna makes the best one Hanna Combo Waterproof pH/EC/TDS/Temp HI-98129 Hanna Combo Waterproof pH/EC/TDS/Temp HI-98129 this is the best meter as far as im concerned... and the problems this meter has, all meters have.. the probe must always be wet... the probe must be calibrated... every meter will have its ups and downs... you just have to find the limits of them and work within and around them... the hanna is awesome... its small, waterproof, measures PPM/EC/PH and compensates for temp... it works relatively quickly... but you need to read the directions to ensure that it will work and the probe stays working for an extended period... there is no probe on the market that is without faults, i would have gotten it already... so take every piece of info you get with a grain of salt... what some like, others will not... and maintenance and use will determine how well it works... good luck
if you have a budget and want to spend less money you need to post these things... but you always get what you pay for
I picked up a used Hanna at the local grow shop for $90. It works great! Definately worth the money and the piece of mind it delivers.
