ph of water

  1. wondering how important it was for water used for watering to be at certain ph?
i will be using reverse osmosis filtered water on my plant. i belive i read that pure water reading at 0ppm has a 7.0 ph.... it has to be between 5.0 and 7.0 right?

also how do i adjust the ph...buffer?
  2. search around, try keep your ph as close to 6 as possible.

just because water has 0 ppm doesnt mean the PH is neutral at 7, has nothing to do with that

can use vinegar to bring your ph down if you cant get to a hydro store
  3. Having the correct pH of water and soil is extremely important. If your RO system works as intended, your ppm will be under 20 and is a great starting point b/c you can control the ppm and ph of the water.

In soil, you want the pH to be around 6.3-6.8.
  4. thank you for replys =)
