So what should the ph of run-off water be? If the ph of the water going in is 6.5 and the run-off is 5.5 ph is that bad? The soil is FFOF. I haven't been able to find any solid info on this, hopefully someone can help me out.
If you water at 6.5 and it comes out at 5.5 then you need to adjust your water going "In" to 7.5 so that it comes out at 6.5. Proper soil ph is around 6.5 and yeah 5.5 is very acidic for soil. If you have an opportunity to replant I would suggest mixing in some dolomite lime with your soil.
Alright thanks a bunch. I'll water at 7.5 ph tomorrow. I just transplanted a few days ago, and probably won't again for a while, if ever. So hopefully watering with a higher ph will just do the trick.
