Ok so I balanced my water to ph 6.5, I waterd today and collected the run off, been hearing the term go round. So I checked the Ph of the run off and it was Ph 5-5.5 (General Hydro liquid drip kit color yellowish orange) the kit I have is not very percise. But it will do for now. So if it goes from 6.5 to 5/5.5 I know that means my soil is acidic, but are these bad numbers? Should the run off be the same? How can I raise the Ph of the soil?
you can raise the PH by adding some 7.0 PH water to your soil till the runoff is what your looking for. the color drop test kits are really inacurate for testing anything besides clear liquids though.
I always figured that, but thought, maybe theres away it gets past the color thing, especially since the PH up and PH down are colored liquids. I dont know.
