Hey guys, I'm looking for some info on PH meters. Everything I've read says to go for a digital ph meter, but I'm a little strapped for cash. I've used a ph kit for testing pool water to get a rough idea of PH, unfortunately it can't test for any ph below 7.0. I've seen ph probes for cheap at lowes, but I'd like some info on the accuracy of them(or if its even worth the money).
imho, just use strips. Unless you have a looooottt of pHing to do. Good ones are spendy, requirement careful care & maintenance, and still can give readings so off randomly that they destroy entire crops. You can get 100 narrow range (4.5-9.0) strips off amazon for less than $15. A good digital meter will be $200 or more.
