Is it best to flush a soil plant with good ph balanced water if you have a ph inbalance or is it best to just start adding the correct ph balanced water at feeding time for a couple weeks until it adjusts its self?
I Just had the same problem. My ph was up near 8.0 because of shitty tapwater even after boiled....if I were home in toronto the water would be fine. So what I did was toss all the bad water and went straight to bottledwater....you could also used water from a britta system or anything...always test you water source first...... ( last night I just filled up on of those water cooler jugs with brita water....took a bit, but thats all i had around me, no bottles left lol )...andwhat I did was flush each plant with 4 or 5 bottles of water, until it would come out the bottom and i just sat them on a rack and let them drain into a bucket ( you should get a decent amount back maybe a bottle from each). I let them drain for while and would get as much out as I could after by pressing(lightly) on the bottom of the pot so water would squeeze out, then put them back into my grow area. Within a day they showed improvement. I got he ph form around 8 back down to 6.8-6.9 ish. Now after a few days they r growing good again, some showing an inch or more growth in one night. I really havent watered them yet (because the soil stays so moist for days or longer, depends how much water u use) I did fed them a half cup of water/20-20-20 fert mix a few days ago, but thats about it. They are looking good now. And now that my biggest has shown shes a female, i'm quite happy and preparing for my new 400wHPS and the building of a new growbox to hold mother/clones and flowering plants (approx 4ft wide by 2.5ft deep and 4or5ft high)..fully enclosed unit with fans and carbon filter exaust (home made )...should be good once its going.
