  1. well i got my testers in the mail and decided to check my runoff i only did 1 plant and the runoff PH was at 5.1 ppms 1800 the soil is only a few weeks old and mixed by me should i be worried or will the soil act as a buffer? its promix, perlite, ewc and compost with a little bone meal and a touch of bloodmeal

  2. Use some nice 8.5 high PH city hose water and it'll balance out. Too much hose water over to many years finally defeated even sulfur dust and I had to take stronger measures to pull the soil PH back down. Promix is Peat and the reason for the low PH.

  3. ok thanks

  4. Most peat based mixes call for some lime to buffer that low PH.

  5. If it already has a plant, you can sprinkle a bit of baking soda under the plant or use some soda PH adjusted water and push your next watering up to 8 PH.

  6. @sosogrow this. dolomite lime..

  7. It's pretty bad low 4s I may need to flush the medium but my readings could be because of buildup in the bottom of the pots I need to do a slurry test I guess but they look happy anyway IMG_20230808_092258712.jpg
