Can anyone tell me how or why my ph in my soil can drop to a 5.5. I have one of those digital meters just to quickly check every once and awhile. So stuck it in it reads 5.0. So im like it cant be!!?? So i take a soil sample and to it manually i get 5.5 to 6.0 id say its a 5.8,, 5.5 at the lowest. So i clean the digital meter stick it back in reads 5.4. So it was closer . But how come my soil ph is that low? When i make my water with nutes , i put all the nutes etc in and then test ph and adjust ph. I always adjust to around 6.5 give or take . I never adjust to 5.0 i know that! So how does this happen and how can i fix it. My water from the faucet varies. Sometimes its 7.11 but sometimes it goes to loke 8.0 like it is today.
