  1. God bless Texas

An online petition that calls for the state to Texas to withdraw from the U.S. and create its own government on Monday reached the required signature threshold to receive an official response from The White House.

The petition on WhiteHouse.gov asks the Obama administration to "peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own new government." The petition had surpassed 34,000 signatures as of Monday evening

  2. Heard about this. I think it's unlikely seeing as we would have to change the american flag

  3. No muslims allowed

  4. Good ridance.

  5. When we think of the major threats to our national security, the first to come to mind
are nuclear proliferation, rogue states and global terrorism. But another kind of threat
lurks beyond our shores, one from nature, not humans - an avian flu pandemic.
    Barack Obama

  6. If you go to the white houses website and look at the people who signed the petitions for each state, less than half of them actually live in the states they signed for. Just shows how divided we really are..

Colorado along with 21 other states have filed a petition with the administration requesting the right to secede from the United States and form a new government following President Obama’s reelection last week.

This should read "republicans in 21 states make petitions"...doesnt say anywhere the actual state governments want to secede

  8. This worked out great the last time haha.

Theres no way the feds would ever let this happen.

  9. You post shows just how limited your thinking is:D

Most intelligent folks realize that republicans are half the problem, democrats the other half.

I think it starts with petitions & possibly wiinds up a vote by the voters in said states.

Maybe half the country is sick & tired of his socialist bullshit for the past four years

Just a fun fact, 9 out of the 10 most uneducated states in the U.S. are republican.

  11. That may or may not be true, but how do you define "educated"?

Half the people who post on the internet are illiterate to some degree. Are they all Republicans?

  12. I think this would be great, texas can become its own country.

    Sorta like north korea

Interpretation of this chart is somewhat unorthodox. Looking at the table view may help make sense of it. For example, Mississippi has an overall score of 1.45, making it white on the map. This score was derived by taking the Percentage of High School Graduates (77%) and dividing it by the score for Most Conservative States (53% of MS residents self-identify as conservative). On the other hand, New Hampshire has an 88% HS graduation rate and a 38% conservative identity. Overall, the darker the state, the more educated and less conservative its population.

  16. Of course, living in Texas I've heard this succession stuff for most of my life. I have defended our state many times on this forum, and couldn't really see myself leaving. However, if this bullshit happens, I'm out. It's always the patriots that shout Ameruca the loudest, and drop the first time things don't go their way.

  17. Shows how educated you are.
    There's education & then there's education.
Look at your president, Harvard grad & can't give a speech without two teleprompters.

  18. I think it's a little deeper than the first time things don't go their way.
What would you suggest OWS tactics? Violence in the streets?
