The title is clear, which record do you like better? In 1966 the Beach Boys put out the record Pet Sounds. It has been phenomonally successful, just like 1967 album sgt. peppers from the beatles.
I'm a huge fan of both the Beatles and Beach Boys... The fact is, Pet Sounds is a perfect album. The only perfect album the Beach Boys ever did. I am of the opinion that the Beatles never matched the perfection of Pet Sounds. I really, really love Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Pepper, and think they're all amazing records in their own rights. But, none of them have the flow of Pet Sounds, none keep my interest as much as Pet Sounds.

Don't knock a masterpiece based on your skewed view of what 'The Beach Boys' are. After Brian went crazy/left, 'The Beach Boys' made some really terrible music. Their style changed a lot, with some good stuff, and some not. Pet Sounds is their peak. Everyone knows this. But what a peak it is! Have you ever even listened to Pet Sounds all the way through? Here's my choice of songs pit up against each other, if we're choosing arbitrarily from the albums. both are great albums/groups. i don't think you can compare the two though, two different types of music in my book.
