Whats up everyone.so overnight my plants two leaves were damaged.now i have a cat thats eaten my plant before,so is it possible that pests done this in one night!? Opinions? Should i buy cat repeller or something?
ive got a cat and bites the tips of leaves off ,,shes to idle to got out side and chew grass to cough up hair ball/s ..so now i watch her so she dont get in the room while i aint there ...,mac,
Update : it had to be the cat cause i have a chili plant on the windowsill and there were also leaf damage...damn that cat!
can be pests as well. Do not hurt the cat they dont know any better . Get a cage around the plant . Now im being nice . I would give the cat away to a new home. Or cook it ! Make sure its painless. I got bit by two different house cats clawed three times . I try to be a nice guy to animals . Cats just say screw this guy ! Im a dog person for sure . I have a black lab i made a service animal goes everywhere with me. So get a large cage it should not cost to much keep the plants safe and your pets away so you wont have to cook it lol
I would be more concerned with the cat bringing in insects like mites or aphids vs a couple leaves being chewed. just my .02
yep kitty bites. My cat used to love to sit at the edge of the tent while I pruned. I loved it too. As Bostonboi said, it isnt good to have pets around the garden--feline or canine. They do have all sorts of critters that can jump into your grow.
I have a big flock. This one I saved from a friends house. Her flock got taken by a fox. It imprinted on me, so I have to be mom for a few weeks.
There's a rabbit that lives in on of my gardens. You would think it would eat the plants, but not. If he does eat any of the plant it will be what I should have trimmed off in the first place. I think it wants to nest in the straw. I never see it eating anything but clover. Even if it does eat a little the plant is well over 10 feet tall so there's not that much he can do.
We are down to 8 hens now. We started this batch out with chicks, 14 female, an OMG 3 male. My advice, don't ever keep 3 roosters. They fight each other and tear the hens up. Didn't take long to get them gone. When I'm not growing the chickens have access to both gardens. They are my automatic weeders, cultivators, bug control, and manure spreaders.
