  1. Can someone help my ID these bastards. I saw them yesterday. Sprayed the plant with take down garden spray just in case. [IMG]

  2. Really blurry but I'm going with thrip for the small one and leaf hopper for the biggy. Some been, spinosad product, should do the trick.

  4. Thanks man. They both had wings. They looked like the same species just one was younger than the other. But will a Spinosad product work for both of the possibilities. Because if so I'll head to the hydro store right now to clear up this crap

  5. Azamax or some Neem oil for a foliar spray. I second the Thrip vote, but it also reminds me of a Fungus Gnat...

  6. Haha. Ice cold bro:) so that stuff I sprayed on it should do the trick. I found them on the listed pests on the online instructions for the Monterey garden takedown spray. Luckily I Did a 2% solution. Here's a pic of what was listed[IMG]

  7. Monterey makes some reliable stuff. I have alot of customers that swear by that stuff! Jus be sure to add a systemic like Azamax. It gets absorbed through the plant and will decrease the odds of future pest problems as it acts as a deterrent and anti-feedant.

  8. Hopefully this takedown spray does the trick if it is either of those. The fungus gnats are listed directly under mites on the label. However if this doesn't work my neighbor has neem oil. and I'll go pick up some azamax so I could hit em from all angles. I really don't want to have to deal with a big outbreak.

  11. The problem with pests is you have to eradicate them from all angles AND implement a prevention program. Otherwise you run the risk of future infestations

  12. Realized the quality of the photo posted isn't as good as the photo in my gallery. Cropped it to see if it will show better.[IMG]

  14. Hell of a difference. Cropping photos is the way to go I guess. I assume there's a file size upload limit which is lowering my photos resolution b4 uploading

  15. I have perfected getting zooms with my phone. A lot of times if it is something small that I need to get close in on I pull my phone away (therefore, pulling the lens away) and manually zoom in a bit. If your lens is too close it will not be able to focus clearly on the target. Tap the target on your screen before snapping the pic in order to tell the camera what it is you are trying to focus on. In this case you'd tap your screen where the pest was or the part of the leaf that is the same distance away from the lens. When you pull away, be sure to have your lens just far enough away that when you zoom the target is at about 25% zoom or just under in order to be clear. Otherwise it becomes too shaky if you're holding it with your hands. Useful for these kinds of pics. Or you could stabilize your camera/phone if you need to zoom more. They have pretty powerful cameras built into these devices considering the size of the hardware.

Hope that helps... Sorry for the lesson! Lol but if you have any questions or I just didn't make sense, lmk.

  16. Cropping helps, also! Put the two methods together and you're unbeatable!

  18. Did a systemic feed with azamax on Monday. Will inspect plants for insects today when I get home from class.
