Persistent Nute Issues, coco coir- Potassium, Magnesium?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Heidegger, Oct 13, 2014.

  1. Hello everyone. I have been having some nute deficiency issues (here's an earlier problem with pics).

Here's the set up rundown: 600 HPS amended with a few CFL bulbs, 6 plants of Bluniverse strain (Blue Magoo and Ms Universe parents), in coco-coir mix of Royal Gold Basement mix and botanicare coco coir (no amendments).

Nutes are botanicare bloom for soil and coco, cal-mag, earth juice micro nutes, maxicrop seaweed stuff, and the usual molasses. During veg I used roots excelaratur too but not lately.

I had some issues two weeks into bloom (link above) but then I flushed em and upped the nutes according to botanicare's schedule, which seems high at 1400 or so. This worked until recently and now I am having some nute issues again, though the plants are growing rather vigorously at the same time.

Normally I water to run-off twice a day over the weekend and let em settle for a few days. The most recent ppm run off was high at 1200 so I've been limiting the watering to just maxicrop and molasses all pHd to 5.9 and sometimes 6 to maybe compensate for some salt build up- not sure, just an idea of mine.

    Thoughts on the issue? IMG_1098.JPG IMG_1097.JPG IMG_1096.JPG IMG_1095.JPG

  2. No thoughts? Hm. I am struggling to figure this out. Seems a bit too soon for a flush since I just did one.

  3. i wish i knew i have been having issues with coco every since i started using it. im trying to find what hydro method suits me and i dont think coco is for me. to many medium issues man at least with me. im going to give rockwool a shot

  4. Pics out from under the light might help, or cut the light and try a flash.
