As long as you use 1 600 watt lamp, the heat it puts off isn't going to be so much that it would screw up the temps in the rest of the house, but your problem is going to come when the plants get close to maturity and the smell gets crazy strong. Plants in veg, have very little smell to them and even after flower begins, the odor never really begins to ramp up until they get to the last 3 weeks or so before harvest. At that point, the smell is strong and is easily detected by anybody close. I would make darn sure I had a carbon filter setup to try and get rid of some of the odor, and you could probably get away with venting it back into your house. You'll just have to try it and see. I know they're expensive, but using an LED would take care of 99% of your problem here because they do not put off a lot of heat. They do burn hotter to the plants than the HPS and MH, but don't put off heat into the atmosphere like those others. However, I totally understand that they are expensive. But I will tell you this. The light you use to grow with is THE most important element of your grow setup. Each plant needs enough wattage and quality light to force it to grow well and give all it's got. Not having enough light is just getting you weak plants that will be underdeveloped. Flowering with an LED would likely let you close the tent up with only a fan inside....depending on the size of the tent, and you wouldn't have to worry about assembling ducting, venting, etc. We do a perpetual grow as well...on a little larger scale than you have planned, but it's a great system. We run 4, 1000 watt hps lamps per flower room and generally flower about 8 plants at a time. Reducing the number of plants I was trying to flower increased my yield at harvest greatly, so more is not always better when it comes to flowering plants. If you only have enough light to flower one plant, you're better off to flower one plant. You'll get twice or more that harvest you would've gotten flowering 2 under the same light. Good luck. Hope this helps TWW
Very informative, thank you for taking the time to get back to me. I understand that using LED's would take care of heat and reduce electricity costs, but I'm still concerned about the overall c02 levels the plants will have access to as the air is still being recycled in the room. What do you think of this? I will 100% have a carbon filter or two in place for drying and flower areas. Sent from my SM-G928F using Grasscity Forum mobile app
