Perpetual 1600w VSCROG

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by MindBender01, Oct 31, 2011.

  1. Well GC viewers, here I go on another adventure. In all our searching, my fellow growers and I have not been able to find anyone else attempting this, so I will. It is the perfect opportunity to try this now because everything from my last grow, died. Root-rot, res ran dry, spiders....all seemed to happen at the same time.:( So, from ashes, comes the next round.

    Here's the plan:

6 strains in total, all in VSCROG's.
All plants will be in dirt, 3-gallon bags.
Main ventilation is being handled by a 6" centrifugal fan pulling through a carbon scrubber.
Each pair of cool-tubes will have a 4 1/2" axial fan pushing air through them, with the end of the exhaust hose close to the scrubber....hopefully 100CFM will be enough for 800watts of HID's....

For right now, the lighting consists of one 400w CFL and 8 T8 3000k's. After the screens are up, that all comes down and gets replaced with 2 400w MH, and 2 400w HPS (one of each in each 'room')... cool-tubes are being ordered in the next couple of days. Next upgrade will be 4x 600w digital setups.

The flower room will house 6 screens and all of the HID's. The room itself is 5' wide, 2' deep, and 5 1/2' tall. Each 'individual' room (inside that space) will hold 3 screens. If you look at the room from above, picture 'nn', with each leg being a 2' by 4' screen. All screens are removable.

The veg area will also house 6 screens, but these will be around vertical T8's at 6500k. They will be on slides overhead to allow each screen to be pulled out so it can be serviced (screen, light, screen, screen, light, screen, screen, light, screen). All plants in veg will be there for the same time it takes it's flowering counterpart to finish.

Approximately 3 weeks before a given plant is ready for harvest, I will take clones from the plant in veg. After a plant is harvested, it's sibling from veg (screen and all) will be moved into position in flower, and the clone will go into a new bag, and proceed to veg.

BAM! Perpetual VSCROG with 6 strains.:D

Now, what to do with that space under my bench that I was using for clone/veg and 4x 6500k T8's...ah...the autos. I also have 2 Auto Haze's and 2 auto Max's.

As always, I'm open to criticism, hopefully of the constructive kind. Be gentle.

    -Bender
