(Permanent) change of thoughts, views

  1. This is my second thread about the mind, and how Cannabis changes a person. Or, rather, how a person changes themselves through the use of it. I have concluded that it cannot hurt your "mind," but I now have a new question. When you see things from a different perspective through the usage of Cannabis, will you see them differently for the rest of your life? For example, if you look at the mountains and say, "Wow, those are pretty!," never having smoked in your life, and then you smoke regularly and see them differently than you would having not smoked, will your perception be permanently altered from your normal state? I'm not claiming that an altered mind is a broken mind, but I want to see things the way I was made to. Or, was I made to see things with an altered mind? I overanalyze things constantly, but I don't want to be "wrecked" or "ruined" for good. Maybe it's simply an adult decision I must make. I personally don't need Cannabis to enjoy life to the fullest. Please present your thoughts, and if you need me to clarify an unclear point please ask. I am simply trying to learn. Thanks

It's not so much that when we alter our perspective with cannabis, we will always see things from that perspective, whether we use cannabis or not. We're always changing, growing, and so is how we see things. It may certainly influence the choices we make, but if we're being true to ourself, then as long as we still see things from that perspective, then we see from our highest state of being, as it's felt right now.

Don't worry about these things - just accept what you see, and that you might feel differently about it as you go forward in life. Just keep an open mind so you can accept the changes if they occur.

oh so you want to make yourself dumb, get hammered every day and in a week you'll look at the mountains and think nothing of them, you'll be chiseled down to one of the most primal perceptions available to you

i find the way you look at things comes from being honest with yourself, dissolving the barriers that were in your mind that had been created (eg religion, other dumb shit) if you have attained a really skeptical, over analytical mind i don't think that goes away, but to be honest, it's superior to when i used to never think about anything and just zombie-walk through my life without any real goals

i just took a one month t break, and my perspective wasn't changed too much, the only thing that happened was i became lazy and stopped pursuing my goals and literally just procrastinated for about three weeks

Thanks for your input dudes! I think I just want things to be the way they were when I was a kid, which obviously cannot happen. Major changes in my life happened (besides growing up) and I feel like I can hold on to things that I need to let go of. It's like I want to believe that not smoking will keep things the same. I am going to go out to my car, turn on my favorite music, and smoke a fat bowl in a little while, because THIS IS NOW. Thanks again guys
