Periodontal Disease and Cannabis

    Is it better to stick with edibles and tinctures. Haven't been to the dentist for 3 years unt september 2022 they diagnosed me with gum disease not sure if vaping cannabis caused this. I had a deep cleaning in october now i see my dentist every 3 months would it be better just to stick with edibles which i been doing for the past month now or can i go back to vaping flower or concentrates(if safer)

    I got labeled with this designation about 15 years ago. Can't get regular cleanings, they'll only do deep cleans.

    The problem is most likely a cause of not brushing and flossing twice a day vs vaping, smoking or eating cannabis.....

    yes i was pretty terrible with my oral health but now i brush twice a day floss everyday and use closys mouth wash everyday. They say its getting better. I love edibles but they don't help my stomach issues as much as vaping flower or carts.

    true, smoking even vaping dries out even shrinks the gum line but it don't lead to disease
    unless you don't visit the dentist for more than a year

    its also an age thing the older you get the more likely the gum shrinks anyway

    too long in the tooth is the word!

    I guess my lack of dental visits during lockdown and my poor hygeine has done far worst to my gums than vaping, but i think its best i stick with edibles for now since periodontal disease isn't curable. Sucks cause im about to be 24 in a week yet I have gum disease
