Pencil Taste From Time To Time

    So I was blazing with my friend the other day and I told him that sometimes when the bowl is getting low but it keeps making smoke so I keep hitting it. But every so often I get a bowl that starts to taste like pencils... I know that may sound weird but that's all I can relate it too. He totally agreed and we couldn't figure out why. It appears random weather we smoke in a glass bowl or a wooden pipe and google didn't have the answer so now I'm asking you guys :D any ideas?
