That's pretty tough! Even with 4x CFL's, 2x exhaust fans, 1x 4" desk fan, my temps are at around 80degrees during the day. Thats with the outside temp being around 70-72 degrees. I don't know about a 150 HPS, i'd be scared of a possible fire due to small space. Safety first!
what up dudes, lovin the pc grow club I am a brand new beginner grower I am now starting my very first grow with my PC grow case I ve started a grow journal in the indoor grow jounrals section on here. For odor I just got carbon filters at Wal Mart, they're designed for HEPA filters. They block a good amount of the light, then for the rest of it I made a little structure of duct tape on the back that blocks the light from the top and one side. I lined it with carbon filter to trap the light (so it doesn't reflect off the duct tape). My case is just sitting in a closet so I could do that... if yours is just sitting in a room idk what to do. Oh and make sure the fans pull thru the filters, if you make them push a LOT less air gets through. wuts up gents. my intention's of the following statement are not ment to be hurtfull but an educational warning. =) if you are thinking about putting anything other than low temp lights such as LED's or CFL's you are smoking far too much weed...and i never thought i would say that. the dangers of putting HPS lights in such a small confined space is soo through the roof you might as well just burn your house down now and save yourself the suprise of coming home to a burned down house.. i cant tell you how many times someone has asked me if putting a hps light was possible... now you may or may not be a brand new grower...but this is just plain common sense. let me tell you..i have plenty of experiance with hps bulbs and the ballasts to run them. even though i was running at 1000 watts a light, the ballast on even a 150watt would run soo fucking hot you would melt and catch on fire any thing near by unless it was in your garage on the cement floor with nothing around it.... now thats just the ballast. the light itself: a confined space like that you could never get the ventalation right to keep the bulbs cool enough... and if you could your pc case would look soo fucking retard that it would be obvious...or look like a fucking robot. there goes your stealthyness (sp) lol. but the glass around the bubl would heat to temps greater than its rated for and POP the goes the bulb and here comes your fire. HOW RETARDED WOULD YOU LOOK FOR BURNING DOWN YOUR FUCKING HOUSE WITH THE SMALLEST GROW OP KNOWN TO MAN KIND!!!!!!!!!!!! so with that all said kiddies, stay safe...only you can prevent forest fires. cheers =)
I think there's a guy on ebay selling 50w HPS pc grow cases.. 50w might be the ticket? I don't know. I've never tried. I'll post my PC case up soon when complete and ready.
ok here they are. I took them a few days ago and i apologize i couldnt post them sooner. my laptop is on the fritz. im waiting for a cooling fan. Day 73 (48 Days of Flowering) again these were a few days ago so it has already changed. very sticky, very stunky, and fattening up very nicely. i have been flushing for a few days now. hope u like thanks for the +rep my man. not a whole lotta change but heres some more pix side view couple top views The goods i figure in about 2 weeks it will be chopping time. depending on how things look. I have about 15% amber trichs the rest are mostly cloudy so shes doing what shes supposed to be doing. stay stoned W.
just read your update....damn dude you got some nice nugs. sorry to hear about your computer fan...i have had to replace a fan on my girlfriends laptop and she has another one that is just sitting there......because the fan isn't working on it either........ lol bloody laptops
ok so i chopped her down to make room for the big girl i had vegging!! should be interesting to see what happens with this one now with the huge amount of lst'ing i did... anyways here is the jist of it: wet weight: 41 grams....of which 2 buds i cut a few days ago and have been drying them. i plan on drying and curing for 1 month in mason jars before enjoying the smoke. but, i will take one nug once its dry and smoke it just so i can get a taste...but i really want to cure the majority of it for about a month so that it reaches its maximum potential...for those that don't know...curing your buds will actually make the smoke taste better...the buds smell better...and the high will be better...the older the shit the better!! so here it is..some pics with a little cartoon character we all know and love... enjoy and stay tuned for more updates on the clones and the new girl that i have just put into the flower case!!

I too will be joining the ranks and become a new member of the PC growers club. I have a PC grow case and seeds from attitude. Will use Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Am growing in a long narrow tupperware container. Using 4 CFLs and a screen for scrog. I bought my case from a dude online. Came with lights, timer, deoderizer, powerstrip, keys to lock the case, the tupperware container, scrog screen, and 4 fans (2 intake and 2 outake), and a built in thermometer....pretty much a complete system ready to go. I will start germinating my feminized afghan kush today using the paper towel/sandwich baggie method. Question: I will drill holes for drainage but what about perculite? Supposedly you are supposed to cover the drainage holes with perculite, then add the soil. Is this really necessary? The only perculite I could find is enhanced with miracle grow which I do not want to use. I plan to use rain water to start and then use tap that has sat out for at least 24 hours. Also I intend to cover the bare metal interior of the case with mylar sheets. Any idea where to get mylar sheets other than online? I have a grow store that sells a roll for $19 but was looking for cheaper. Will post pics here and video of the journal on youtube. This is my first grow ever; PC or otherwise. Wish me luck. THANKS

Just got some materials. The goal here is 100% stealth. I will be using Mr Micro's Nanomachine as the base idea for this PC build. So far I have drilled out all the PITA pop rivets, mounted a PSU backplate (will solder the pictured black power strip to this) and mounted the 3 26w 6400K cfls (have 3 26w 2700k for flower). I have some MDF i am going to size to make 2 separate chambers and air/light proof the main chamber. all of the charcoal filter/power/dc adapters for fans will be in the approx 5" deep left chamber. The two fans on the left shown below will only be cooling the air coming out the filter, as well as the power stuff. I have a 98cfm 120mm fan that will be mounted at the top of the MDF and the filter attached to this. I also have some Reflectix insulating/reflective material for the entire inside and will apply this silicone on the door frame, then vaseline on the door and shut to cure for 24hrs. Also have Ona Block. Also have an old pentium 3 motherboard, gonna saw off the PCB all the ports to mount on the back for added official-ness. Prob go paper-towl for germ->rapid rooter plugs->FFOF + perlite. Distilled water and GH GMB combo plus Sugar Daddy and later on Advanced Nutrients Bloom Booster Pro (left over from last hydro setup). Gonna start off with bagseeds and see how well this system works. It will be a little while before this is ready for launch... Prob a couple weeks, I will post pics as soon as they are ready!!
Day 77 (52 Days of Flowering) Well i am still truckin along. unlike the other 2 i am choosing to stick with it and not chop her yet. No offense but i believe you guys harvested to soon and there for will not yield as much. everyday my buds are getting more and more fat each day. the hairs are all slowly but surely starting to turn amber. and the trichs are quickly catching up to them. i figure one more week maybe a week and a helf. its looking really good its very sticky and smelly. as usual here are my newest pix. The 5th picture down is of the very far back Cola. This is my experimental Cola. I read some where that if you top just a little piece of the cola that it will stock its vertical growth and fatten up. Well its deffinetly the fattest of all and most dense however it was a runt cola and came from no where so it is only the top part, its not down the stem like the others. Side View Tops This is the experimental Cola that i was speaking of. see how much fatter it is then the rest. its very dense as well. I figure this bud alone will weigh at least a couple grams. some more top colas and there you have it ladies and gents. hope you like. as always lemme know what you think Stay Stoned W.
