Been looking around on a bunch of forums and these seem the best for PC growers, I literally just started yesterday around 12 PM noon with 2 seeds planted, and 2 more around 6:30 AM today. I'm running 3 25w CFL's with 2 Antec 80mm fans one intake one outtake. With Mylar on the inside.

The seeds were actually just good bag seeds I managed to get off some really good buds. Will post when I see any growth, also when I manage to keep the temperature down it's around 85-88. It's not so much a stealth PC grow box considering my mom doesn't care (I'm 18). Runnning lights 24/7 for maximum growth for now after reading your thread.

Also, using a random mix of MG for Veg since I'm new to growing I just made sure I got the right supplies light wise, etc. For you experienced growers out there, what mixture would be the easiest and most effective. Also, I plan on making another case eventually since the first case actually had a Antec fan pre-installed leaving me with 2 new ones. Mylar is cheap, and have another outlet strip (cheap as well anyhow). Now here is a hydro store chain around me

Looking nice thereSungminz, just planted another germinated seed leaving me with about 3-4 potential sproutlings. The first were planted about 36 hours ago, should they have sprouted by now? The MG soil I'm using has little white things in them as well, with random bits nothing too big. Using 3 26W CFL's 24/0. Hoping that they sprout soon enough, will have pictures of the box set up soon. Also the door to my case isn't always on due to the high temperatures if I don't have a table fan blowing on it so it's always half way open but with mylar for some extra light. If the temperatures are around 85-88 degrees will they still sprout? I plan on buying a better PC fan to put in it, hopefully I'll get better temp. results.

Edit: Found a nice server tower online for under $30.00

    Pictures attached (w/o wheels), dimensions as followed- - Dimensions 7.5" W x 16.5" D x 26.75" H (with wheels)

  4. It can take a while sometimes for seeds to germ. But usually if seeds doesnt germ within 3-4 days for me I just chuck em and get better ones. I know some people scuff the outer layer of the seed to help the process but I've never done that before. When they are seedlings I believe they don't mind a little high temps as long as its moist so you should cover the tops of whatever medium they are in with saran wrap to keep the moisture in.

  5. Thanks for the advice, yeah half of the seeds were already germinated 2 of them had good white lengths. Right now temp's around 87-88 but I have a nice fan like I said circulating the box so it should be fine. Gonna head off smoke this blunt, pray to the weed gods I get a sprout and head to bed ;)

  6. haha is that the exact same case I have? I think it is! yea its cheap on ebay, pain in the ass to take the rivets off. Lots of light leakage on the backside but easily fixed with tape!

Lol yeah my dad has a shit load of tools so I'm sure I can find something to make life easier on me and then just line the insides with mylar. But will deff. be getting one if I make progress with mine now.

Also, what do you think about my temperature problem? Should 85-87 be alright for the plant for now?

  8. I hear so many diff things about temps so Im never sure. People say 65-85 something like that? I know sativa strains do not mind high temps...

When I first started my PC grow it got really hot, almost 100degrees F. Since it was during summer it was damn hot but it didnt seem to effect my plant in anyway negatively. Although just like you, I did crack the side panel open a bit and keep a fan blowing over the top of the plant. I still have that fan blowing, but the temps have dropped to about 80-90 and she still doing great.

  9. Sup everyone,

I just saw this thread after I posted on another thread:mad: so from now on I will be posting here.

Here is my 1st grow [IMG] I decided to use my old pc case because I dont have any other place to grow.

I am new to all this so this is more of experiment to see how things work, Im hoping you guys will point me in the right direction.

I will be posting pics every Monday...... anyway plants are about 10 days old. Plant on the left is Little Devil and plant on the right is a White Dwarf, hopefully they are both females as i bought fem seeds.

As you can see the Little Devil has burnt tips on the leaves.... So I have moved the plant lower.

I am using 2 x 30w 2700k cfl's, I water them every 2 days and thinking about giving them some nutes in their 3rd week.

Here are the pictures any suggestions or pointers will be much appreciated.

    Take Care

Check out my pics at : http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-grow-journals/470973-my-1st-grow-pc-case.html

  10. Just a suggestion, you should maybe swap the 2700k CFL's for veg to something closer to 6500k (daylight, blueish color) cfl's. This will keep the nodes tight and plant shorter instead of it stretching with the 2700k lights in limited space like PC case. Not sure what kind of soil youre using, but if it already has ferts you dont really need to give it any ferts until you start flowering.

  11. Sup everyone,

I have made some changes to my setup, I removed a 2700k and replaced it with 6500k. I also added 2 new pc fans because Im not sure if there was enough air circulating. Bad news is the white dwarf aint looking so good not growing and leaves are curling down:confused:

Looks nice and sweet, and I don't know much about the symptom's of the plants so I'll let someone else let you know.

A little update for me, two have finally sprouted. One before the other and is getting a tad bigger over the day and the other one is getting there. Will have pictures when they get a bit bigger.

    Quick edit:

at 4 Sprouted, will add more pictures when the 5th one pops up as I can see it a bit.

Updated the grow a bit with a new fan I had from my old PC I forgot I had out in my garage.

Also, a pic of some buds I got today pics aren't for camera phone but doesn't come close to justify it lol

Also guys do you think I should buy some feminized Short Rider seeds from Nirvana seeds?

Here's the description to those who don't know it.

Short Rider is a hybrid of our discontinued strains Top 44 and Early Special. Top 44 has long been a trade favourite because of its ability to produce commercially worthwhile amounts of strong, skunky buds in just 44 days of flowering. Even though Early Special itself lacks this characteristic, its Siberian Ruderalis genes give Short Rider the unique ability to "autoflower" - to flower independently of light cycles. This means you won't need to maintain a strict lighting schedule for this strain - it will flower regardless! Short Rider is a must for growers with limited space or who simply want to finish extra early. The quality is amazing considering how little time it takes to finish.

Sep 30th- 9:37 Edit: New photo with the 3 main seedlings gaining some height, can't tell much but at same time you can. Uploaded or a bigger shot

  13. Typically droopy leaves mean overwatering. When theyre young you dont really need to water them that much. Let the starter cups dry out a bit before you water it and make sure there is some drainage when you do water it. You can tell if its dry just by picking it up and feeling the weight and sticking your finger in the soil.

  14. linkkid, looking good, but I would definately get those seedlings out of the same container as when you want to transplant its gonna be hard. Theyre also going to fight for nutrients and roots will tangle up etc. I would get them in some party cups or something for now.

  15. Yeah I figured that much that's why the newest ones in the separate containers that were gatorade/water bottles cut in half. Believe it or not my house usually always has plastic cups, and for some reason we're out xD. I'm making money online to support my funds, (phishing on world of warcraft) making 100$+ a day if I want too. Receiveing money via so next check I get from China I'm going to head to my Hydro store to get some Fox Farm Soil and good pots. Here is there website Hydroponics Systems from Simply Hydro - Buy Online and Save

Could you reccomend what nutes to pick up from there and which Fox soil to get? Would make my life a lot easier to get all my future needs (nutes etc) before I get to that stage of growing, highly appreciated :hello:

  16. I went to my local hydro store and asked them what they thought in terms of bloom ferts. I was going to get the whole line of the Fox Farm nutes, but they guy told me to go with FloraNova. He says instead of using 3 different bottles with the FoxFarm, I just need this one bottle of FloraNova Bloom to take care of it all, he also personally thinks its better. So far my plant seems to be loving this so I'm happy with it. I went 1/4 strength, then half strength, and then my last feeding went full strength and the plants responded very well. I've been using distilled water with a tablespoon of mollasses as well (per gallon)

  17. and phishing wow accounts!! so youre one those guys! youre going to need to show me how to make some cash with this method ;)

Yeah I left some tap water out 24+ hours so I guess no Chlorine is in it making it distilled. But if you're having success with that I guess I'll probably pick that up and do a little more research on which Soil to get.

I do plan on LST'ing all of the plants via tie down method I've been looking on how to do it and how everyone else is doing it. I'm hoping whatever 2 strains I have planted since they were 2 different bag seeds are good bushy growers. However I'm only seeking for the enjoyment of smoking your own grow, and a good way to get good air in your room :D

Also the table fan seems to be only affecting one of the stems by hardly moving it, which I think is a good thing to get them starting to build up strength early early on.

Only problem in investing too much is my Dad probably won't like the idea of it, and he's out of town half the year off and on doing work (much like Pitchmen if you've ever seen the show Billy Mays had who was pretty much my uncle) even know he smokes pot he only just now started to smoke with me when I went out to San Diego, Cali over the summer for work.

Selling gold ;) Made at least $2,000+ in 2 months.

  19. lol dood, maybe I should sell some gold on WOW too. But ive quit playing, started to play Aion, pretty cool game. Thats sweet you can blaze with your pops, must be nice. My old school parents would never understand. I use fox farm ocean forest soil btw, and I never gave it nutes during veg.

  20. I can tell it'll be good funding as I'm at a $150.00 tab at the moment and plan on having it sent tonight so I can head to the hydro store and buy what's been recommended, thanks.
