PC grow / Mylar vs white paint

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by dark farmer, Jan 23, 2010.

  1. I have a PC grow coming up and I have been thinking about using a flat white paint in the case rather than mylar or panda film.

I want to be able to move and attach my lights to any part of the case with magnets. I could do this with mylar or panda film, but at risk of tearing the material. If i just put on a light coat of paint then i won't have to deal with potentially re-wrapping the case.

Has anyone tried this? Have comments, thoughts, or suggestions?

I'll be growing an autoflower (Easy Ryder or Low Ryder #2, haven't decided)
    LST, and possible topping

  2. I used mylar in my growbox (rubbermaid tote) it was the biggest pain in the ass. It always came loose and got caught in my fans and it flapped around sometimes. I'll go to aluminum tape next. Flat white paint is better though. I think its the best heat & reflectivity wise so go with the flat white.
