I'm going to build a pc grow box and grow hydroponically. I'm going to put the pc grow box under my bed. I need to know a way that i can have my pc grow box running all day with ABSOLUTELY NO SMELL. I want it to be hwere the only way you would smell it is if you opened the box and put your nose right up to the plant.
If you don't want smell, then use a carbon filter. If you have $300 and want a perfect pre-made pc grow bax that is awesome for 2 plants (hydro or soil options) then buy one here. mrgrowpro.com These are the best set ups I've seen and there are some good grow journals on grassicty of people using these and get fantastic results. There's no odor either.
"Is odor a problem? Depends a lot, again, on the strain you choose to grow, but that's why i include carbon filter over the rear exhaust fan. It work very well, and also, just FYI, plants only really smell during flowering stage, and during flowering stage a light cycle of 12 hours on, 12 hours off is most commonly used. This means for 12 hours of the days you will have no lights on, and in turn need no fans blowing either, so no smell! Not that only one or two plants tend to small much anyways. ,..ut if you set the the lights and fans to be on say at night when no one is around the case you'll be good to go. If you choose to grow a real stinky strain you can buy things for outside the case to combat smell. Plug-ins work well and also believe it or not Febreze is awesome at covering odor, both very cheap."
Well, I don't know much about strains...I'm growing Raskal's OG and this thing smells during vegging...
