All 3 lights are in. Using 2700k Bulbs through vegging and flowering, although i'm going to add one more bulb when it gets a bit bigger. This is just a size example, AA battery. Second one is another close up of the new growth with the first real leaves! As you can see on the very edges its getting a bit crispy, so i pulled the lights up about a half inch.
it looks ok to me bro if you just let her grow with out giving her any nutes just water 4 the 1st 2 - 3 weeks and it will be ok
I transplanted on the 5th day on 18/6. When I transplanted from the smaller pot I could see all the wonderful roots, and alot of them. It's in a much bigger pot now, and it's final one. Unless of course later on I move on to a better pot that has to do with my confined space.
Be careful not to over water in that bigger pot. It's easy to do when you transplant when they are that little. Lookin' good otherwise!
Thanks man! And Oh I know, I want to train the plant to be watered every 1.5 - 2 days, just higher amount of water, so just in case I can't be home, it won't suffer too bad if I can't get to it for the next few hours.
That's the beauty of soil. If you need to leave for a few and you know she's gonna get thirsty, just load her up with a little more than usual and you should be good. I was just recently working out of town for a while, gone all week and being home on the weekends. I would water them up really good on Sunday night and when I got home on Friday nights they were thirsty, but not too bad. I did lose some clones because of it though. Mind you my plants are all mothers and they are being bonsiaed. They really suck up the water because of all the new growth they are always doing. I would say it would give me an extra day to 2 days of insurance on them doing it that way. I only give them about a cup worth of water every 2-3 days during normal waterings.
i noticed you said u were using 2700K CFL's for budding and vegging....i think you actually want 6500K CFL's for vegging and then switch to 2700K CFL's for budding....the 6500K's give your plant the proper blue light spectrum for vegetative growth and the 2700's are the proper red or yellow spectrum that the plants need to bud.....if u switch to the 6500K CFL's for veggin then i think you'll see a tremendous difference...then change them out to the 2700's when you flip to 12/12.... anyone correct me if im wrong, but from my studyin and growin thats what ive found to be the best!! PEACE--LOVE--MARYJANE
Thanks Viva! But I just wanted to try to show people that even without different spectrum CFL bulbs, you can still grow.
oh i got ya....i've just done alot of reading on CFL's and they say when u use 2700K the plants not even getting the right spectrum for vegetative growth, so im interested to see how the grow turns out....i wonder if the stems will be any thicker and if the coloring on the leaves will be any different...definately keep us posted, cause i have a 55 watt 2700K bulb i just got for my new PC grow, and id love to use it through veg so i dont have to go buy the 6500K before i get started...definately keep us posted cause im interested to see how well it does....thats what i love about reefer, it adapts pretty well to most all condition and finds a way to thrive....Good Luck
Update. I'm having some problems with my grow. This is a week old after sprout. There are brownish-darkish blots on the end of the 2 main leaves, and the smaller leaf of the smaller leaves is brown and alot smaller. If you want to see the problem post, click here.
Here are some pictures, my friend accidentally knock the case, causing the plant to touch the CFL bulb for an hour or so. I pulled the light up, watered her, this is after transplant so i'm hoping for it to perk up and get over that transplant stunt. I'm not sure, but I hope my plant will be able to recover after this.
damn man! I'm sorry to hear that! I'm sure she will battle through, I've seen worse recover. I subscribed goodluck!
Good Luck with that man, and thanks! Update, you can see the new growth, and you can see the half of the leaves that were already dead from the light. It's improving, believe it or not, really starting to perk up. VVV I took these pictures before I trimmed off the brown crispy parts of the leaves.
