Helloo grasscity. first grow. This is the Case, I made it on a mad budget, old pc case. stuff around the house. Flat white paint, 3 CFLs, going to get 4 soon. These are the seeds! First ones are the Afghan Kush I got froma buddys grow. This is a Bubba Kush bagseed, i'm not going to use in this grow, though..... I'll be updating with pics regularly, going to gram some FFOF soon, then germ these babys. Just for fun, a 10 gram nug one of my friends had..
you'll want to get rid of that light form the fan. I can only see many complications arising from it in the future Best of luck!
first off snip the wires that run to the led's on that fan because it will keep your plant in the veg stage when you try to 12/12. Second you should try and put the lights on the back wall to optimize your grow room. everything else looks good so far keep it up
get rid of those LEDs and those sees look premature. Also put the lights on the back. Most of the light comes from the sides of the CFL not the tops. Also all those light leaks on the side grills and on the fan need to be taken care of. Also clean your damn room
Thanks guys, I already knew not to put the lights head down, most of the lumens come from the sides. But I couldn't get some magnet until now. Snipped the LED lights, and germing an Afghan seed as we speak. Picking up some Kellogg budget soil today. Smoking on some Bubba K right now.
Got some soil. At a local shop. 5 bucks. from this recommendation. http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-marijuana-growing/201841-growing-budget-need-great-soil-check-out-5-bag.html And, some updated pics of the case..
Dubious, what are you going to do with your plants when they outgrow your PC case? Or are you just starting them out there to be later put into a SOG environment? I've found that growing my plants to at least 18" inches during the vegetative state eventually yields (give or take) a couple of oz's each come harvest time...don't know what your ultimate objective is. Good luck!
Thanks Nirvana! I was just looking to veg until most of my screen, put at about 10 inches above my plant, was filled. So yes, a scrOG. This whole grow was just an experiment, as long as I gain something from this grow, (experience, but a few grams wouldn't be bad either) I will be happy, please no flamers about how this was a waste of my time, I spent no more then 25 dollars on everything.. UPDATE! When I checked this morning, one of the seeds, after about 48 hours has cracked and I can see the milky white taproot, although not completely emerged. We have life..
Hey guys! Heres the first taproot after almost 72 hours! I put it in a small pot, taproot down, about a half inch down, (I used a pencil) then covered with seran wrap. I put the one single light ( to not put too much stress on it once it breaks the surface.) about 2 or 3 inches above the pot. Just to keep temps a little warmer (at 74F now). Going to put it on 18/6 once it breaks the surface.
After 48 hours of planting my (germinated) seed into the soil. It has sprouted, looks a little funky but. It's all good. (; I put it on 18/6.
Nice man I've got a ghetto pc grow goin on too. Are you going to try to stunt the overall growth by limiting the root growth with the pot? That's my plan anyways haha. I'm gonna try to squeeze two small plants in mine.
Like 15 inches, and you have to take in the fact of the pot size. So like 11 inches of plant. Anyways Here are some pictures of my baby. Responding well. (; This is about 9 hours after it busted the soil surface.
That's normal. Let the outer shell of the seed fall off all by itself. Seedlings are very delicate. You don't want to mess with them if you don't have to. It has been awhile, but I saw a guy with a PC grow last year who made it look like a little bonsai tree. He had the pot all the way to one side and the main stem bent sideways growing over the length of the case. It was awesome! It had one big fat cola the size of my forearm. Basically it was lillipopped and then trained sideways. Good Luck!! It always amazes me how well some people grow in those little boxes! Hopefully you are one of them!
Haha thanks for the support! And yep, I hope i'm one of them too. Temperatures stay in the high 70s, to about the highest it gets is 83, seem to be doing well.
