Passed a LabCorp Pre-Employment Drug Test 5.5 Days Clean

    TLDR:
    Passed a drug test as a light DAILY smoker in a relatively short span of time. Here’s my two cents and how I did it.

    I am new to this site and have only recently discovered it due to an impending drug test I took recently. I had just received an employment offer pending my passing of a drug screen at LabCorp. While I don’t usually post, I feel that I need to give back to the community considering that my hours of research/lurking on the forums substantially helped me pass my drug screen in a short amount of time. I’m not claiming that what I did will work for everyone, but I’d like to post my story hoping that it will help ease someone’s nerves facing the same situation I did.
    Background info:
    5’7, 160ish lbs
    Early 20’s M
    I consider myself a light smoker but I would light up DAILY for sleep purposes. There are times where I would smoke socially but more often than not, it was to relax and go to sleep at a proper hour. On average I would vape about 0.25g/night of mid-high quality bud so not a lot by any means but there were times where I would easily go through several g’s with some friends(though not regularly). But because I was a DAILY smoker, I felt that I had some cause for concern in getting clean. I learned about my drug test on a Friday, which coincidentally was when I had already decided to take a tolerance break(such timing). The Thursday night before, I had toked half a g and wasn’t feeling too hot the next day, but with the looming drug test I found out about the next day, I had no choice regardless. The latest day I was able to schedule the DT was the following Wednesday @2pm as my LabCorp location stopped all DT’s @2:30pm on weekdays. That gave me about 5.5 days of being clean to prepare for the DT. The odds were definitely against me and I felt the pressure. Before I delve into my method, I want to say that the biggest contributors to my success were my body composition, lifestyle habits, and work ethic. Standing at 5’7 and 160ish lbs I’m not exactly huge per se but I wasn’t a skinny pre pubescent child either. Naturally, I have an ectomorph body type but have spent about 4 years training in the gym to build a substantial(relative to my body type) amount of muscle mass. Typically I spend 4-6 sessions a week in the gym weightlifting, supplementing with the occasional bit of cardio here and there. At my current body composition I am what most would consider 9-10% lean, 6pack, striations but in reality I’m probably closer to 13-14% but definitely still on the leaner side. My diet usually consists of mostly whole food sources: chicken/pork are my main protein sources. Go to Carb source is either rice or sweet potato coupled with 4-5 servings of fruits and vegetables(so rather high in fiber). On top of all this, I would say I have a faster than average metabolism. Coupled with the increased metabolism from holding a lot of muscle mass, I was a fat burning machine to begin with. Through my research I concluded that THC binds to fat cells in your body and is eliminated PRIMARILY through your stool. Knowing this, my strategy was to reduce my overall body fat while trying to shit my brains out. The THC metabolites would be released from fat cells through diet/exercise and excreted from the body through doo doo. Throughout the process, I did NOT use any of the typical supplementation methods often outlined by users on the forum(niacin, bentonite clay, cranberry juice, detox teas, etc). I only had caffeine from my daily cups of coffee as well as a B2 supplement the day of the test to turn my urine bright yellow. Ofc I also had a 32oz Powerade for electrolytes as I was half expecting my urine to be quite diluted.
    What I Did:
    I have a 40oz shaker cup that I already fill up and drink 3x a day yielding an avg daily intake of just under a gallon per day. For the Five days before my test, I tried to bump my water intake to 200oz or just over a gallon and a half per day. Because I already had a sound diet, I continued what I was doing, except reducing carb intake by minimizing my portions of rice/sweet potato and drastically increasing my intake of leafy greens to increase fiber. I also use my Fitbit to track daily steps/caloric expenditure

    DAY 1:
    I did my typical full body routine(I do this 3-6x/wk) would have helped if I did some cardio this day but I found out about my test rather late and opted to go home and start researching strategy.

    Continued with weightlifting but threw in an extra session of 45min HIIT

    Ate like shit this day because I had a family birthday and did not want to cave for such a dumb reason. I knew my caloric intake would be higher so I made sure to do a lot of walking to bump up my caloric expenditure. I got in about 25k steps this day. Also drank loads of water before dinner to give myself the feeling of fullness so I would eat less overall.

    DAY 4:
    Started the Day with a 40 min HIIT session and 30min low intensity cardio to cool down. Had a meal to replenish myself for a 1hr HIIT boxing class later in the evening. The class involved some running so I had an higher than normal step count this day as well.

    DAY 5:
    According to the forums, people generally say to stop exercising about 72 hours prior to stop the release of THC and add fattier foods back in. I followed suit and did not workout at all but tried to get in a decent amount of steps. I decided to have ribs and a ribeye steak for dinner to up my creatine levels last minute(tho not sure it entirely helped). They’re also fattier sources of protein than my usual choices. In addition I also started to throw in more carbs again so my body would retain the water as opposed to completely flushing it out. (Didn’t want my test to show up as dilute). This was also the FIRST day I decided to self test. I took two tests, one quickscreen from Walgreens and one first check from CVS. First one I took shortly after drinking coffee on an empty stomach and passed. Second test I took after dinner and also passed. I was pretty confident at this point and just made sure I got enough sleep.

    TEST DAY:
    I woke up at 6:30am to test my first void midstream and got a ghost line. Wasn’t sure what that implied for the actual test so I semi freaked and bought another test. Decided to stick with my plan and eat a breakfast high in carbs to soak up more water as well as some fat so it would be signaled for storage as opposed to having my body release more body fat. I had about 60oz of water before my test + 32oz Powerade along with a 16oz cup of iced coffee. No other liquids. Took the at home test right before I left for LabCorp and passed. This restored my confidence and I popped a B2 vitamin and went on to take the screen.

    I got an email the next day from my employer notifying me all was good and well! Honestly I could have easily subbed and probably should have to save myself all the anxiety and stress. I didn’t even receive a pat down nor was I asked to empty my pockets. But because I had already spent 80 bucks on at home drug tests, I didn’t want to spend any more. If shipping were more reliable I would’ve ordered cheaper drug tests online as well. Someone isn’t always home to receive my packages so they always end up being delayed so I didn’t want to risk it.
    Closing Note:
    If I hadn’t already been in decent shape making healthy lifestyle choices I may not have had the same result. I’m sure there is still THC in my system, but I was able to lower it to the point of non detection for the urinalysis (sub 50ng/ml). I hope someone out there can benefit from this. Feel free to ask Any questions regarding what I did. Pls don’t ask if I think you’ll pass as I cannot say for sure. Many have said it would take closer to two weeks to a month for me to have passed but I did it in 5.5 days. It’s possible so good luck!
