Parkinson's

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by decrimbud, Nov 7, 2008.

  1. Alright so I've heard that basically (and this is extremely simplied and possibly wrong) but I've heard that what's parkinson's is is when your brain doesnt produce enough dopamin...so I have a theory that smoking weed could relieve the symptoms of this illness because cannabis makes your brain release more dopamin...anyone know if this is true, or if im completely off base

I want you to note the last one- it is a patent (one of several on medical cannabis). If cannabis has no medical effect (as our government claims), then why are folks patenting treatments using it?

One of the first MMJ users I met had Parkinson's. She said she could cut her meds in half when she had pot. Her college-age nephew kept her well supplied.

  3. Hey thanks man, I actually read all of them because I was very interested in this topic, that's why I asked.

  4. lol man it makes me laugh that our best medicine on this planet is a plant that grows naturally all over the place, like a weed. It makes me sad that the government persecutes and kills people for using cannabis.

  5. When you have Parkinson's, you are gradually losing your ability to produce Dopamine. that being said, it seems like when I'm in a good mood those last few dopamine producing brain cells start working overtime. When its at its worst, theres nothing that compares to a few tokes of "Roadkill, so smoke on fellow Parkees, or would that be Parkys
