Alright so before we start this story, YES I am over eighteen, don't even fucking go there. So I just quit my job about a month ago and I've been just chilling out really. My parents offered to fly my best friend whom I have known since 1st grade out from Colorado so that we could hang for a bit. So of course I accepted and we Hung out for a good three weeks. During this time though, it seemed every time I vaped they would smell it and lecture me saying its inconsiderate. So I tried blowing it out the window, ozium, towels under doors, closing my vents , and I'm using a fucking vape and they still somehow smell it. So before my friend had to leave my parents offered to send me back up with him. Although I thought this was great I knew something was up. Low and behold that night I was Vaping and unfortunately it was one of those times and they came in and were screaming at me, I am not being dramatic they were SCREAMING throughout the house for everyone to hear that I am all these terrible things while I swear on my life I kept a calm demeanor and explained how hard I'm working to block the smell and it still didnt matter. So I said okay, and decided to do it outside with my shit spoon just to stop the smell. Well now I knew something was up so I hid 2oz of bud before I left and who would've guessed. My mom sent me a text saying she "cleaned my room" for a "fresh start". I knew exactly what she meant and I was pissed.. I didn't say shit to them for a week but finally I ballsed up and asked what she meant by fresh start... Well all my vapes, grinders, and an ounce I didn't hide are all in their possession now. What's worse is that they say they won't give it back at all. So I asked for reimbursement and they said okay... I was definitely expecting a no.. are they aware how much all that shit costs? A cano, Plenty, MFLB, DV, and an ounce? Like what the fuck? My mom argues that its illegal but I countered it with all the illegal stuff she's done. So I'm at a loss.. do I let them have it and wait for money or should I ask for them back nicely and promise not to use it ? They also say that no parents want their kids using drugs but I've seen my dads iolite, bud, and I know who his dealer is, so obviously there's a disconnect here. Not to mention but I've used all my vapes with my mom in the room and talked with her a good 30 minutes to two hours WHILE using my vapes and now she's going back saying she never allowed it. I know I'm wrong for using it in the house after they asked me not to, but the way they've been throwing these curveballs at me is stupid. Sorry if this comes across as jumbled thoughts to sum it up.. Tldr: Parents previously okay with me Vaping get mad out of blue, and take all my stuff while I'm out of state. What do?

Yeah I'm definitely moving out soon, but they are fine with him doing it cause he fulfills his responsibilities and doesn't over indulge in it like I necessarily do. Edit: I think Even in the tldr I said that previously they were okay with it. One day I'm Vaping 6 bowls out of my cano with my parents there, the next second they're fucking yelling at me. Sounds like my mom, except she has smashed bongs/pieces. Thrown a spoon out a car window once. But losing all that blows man, I know how you feel. My mom has sat there while I have smoked before too and she has done it before too. Crazy parents sending mixed messages has me all sorts of confused too my man. I would ask for reimbursement, its not like you can use it again anyways when you go back. If they dont understand how much it costs and try to lowball you, pull up the prices of them online and show them. Best of luck man.

It's clear that for whatever reason now, they don't want me doing it so I guess I can't really say otherwise, but letting go of the vapes will be hard cause they do have sentimental value.
