I"ve been using a 400w Hortilux Blue lately that really coves the full spectrum rather generously, but still doesn't have the peaks high peaks that an HPS or even decent conversion bulb will give. My question for any light experts out there: Does a light like the Hortilux Blue provide a better light source for flowering than am AgroSun Gold HM conversion bulb? I don't know much about the PAR technology, but things I've been reading say that it's redefining out evaluation of lights. During veg. the Hortilux was amazing, and even during the first 2 weeks of flowering, the pistols practically launched from the plant in tight thick masses. Check out the spectrum for each of these bulbs if you're not familiar, but if anyone really has any serious knowledge about PAR technology and what that means in terms of using a Hortilux Blue MH during flowering - please let me know. I just switched to the 400w AgroSun Gold Halide yesterday just to give it a shot but might go back depending on feedback. *** Please do not hijack this thread into a: "Dude, HPS is soooo much better for flowering," thread. We've all read those threads and can generally agree that some yellow and red in the spectrum promote greater flowering. The new PAR technology challenges a lot of that from what I've read - and that's the info I'm looking for. People with experience. Thanks!
