Papaya CFL at 4 weeks

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by pierre, Oct 1, 2006.

  1. I have two plants currently under a single 85w warm CFL.
Both are coming along nicely, although the younger plant seems to be growing faster, possibly cause I've been LSTing it a fair amount.
Here are pics of the younger plant, which is about 4 weeks old.

    Am I doing OK?

  2. lookin good. Maybe want to switch to a bigger pot here in the near future, but other than that they look happy and healthy. Keep up the good work.

  3. I agree.
    Looks nice.

  4. Wow, they look alot more developed than my 4 weekers. Have you used any nutes?

  5. Nirvanas' Papaya is known for being a fast starter, I also heard that the high is mind blowing :smoking:. I have papaya seeds that I got from Gypsy Nirvana but I haven't grown them yet. I will be waiting until I have a really good grow cab to get the best out of them ;) ...

  6. here's my other plant which is actually a week older, believe it or not.

However I've just started to LST her a lot more and I hope she'll bulk up in the next week, after which I intend to flower as I have a small space and want to have finished by Christmas time. Is this a good idea?

  7. That depends on what you find more important :

    a. Be ready for Christmas.
    b. Have a descent yield.

Meaning, I'm worried you're cutting the vegging/flowering phases short on time and power.
I personally do 3 full months of vegging and then 2 months of flowering.
I think 'normally' speaking, hydro growers with MH can do flowering at 5/6 weeks old.
Not soil grows with low power CFL....
But then again, it's what YOU find important!

  8. I'd love to veg for months on end, but I'm growing in the eaves in my room (the attic) which are damn small to begin with, but also mean I have to be very careful around times when the family need to remove other things from the eaves (which is were we keep a lot of junk).

As CFL power goes, I don't have the cash to bulk it up right now, but at the minute I have an 11w, 20w and 85w bulb, so they're getting an alright amount of light. I will take pics of the space soon so you know what I'm dealing with.

    safe.
