Hendrix from that list. Marley is great too tho! And so are Zeppelin heh heh.

 

Hendrix hands down. Although cream and zeppelin are 2 of my favourite bands, I think that a huge part of their success comes from awesome rhythm sections. Even though Clapton has had a very successful solo career, thus disproving my previous statement. hmm.

I chose Other, for Led Zeppelin. They are by far the biggest. Hendrix would be second to that, methinks.

ps- and for all those people who cant decide between hendrix and page, download "hey joe" featuring led zepplin (jimmy page + robert plant) live. awesome guitar, hendrix and page "talk" to eachother the whole song. Its just so good.

 

i really think clapton should get more votes than that, i love hendrix and page but clapton can do things with 6 strings even they didnt think was possible

 

Hendrix was way too sloppy and unorganized... how can you people vote for that. Sure, he is good, but lacked structure, badly.

Page takes my vote.

 

Page is 10x more sloppy than Hendrix ( not that I don't like him ).

SRV is one of my favorites for ability and Zeppelin was the best band and Hendrix is the greatest ever.

 

Eric Clapton is god. Clapton Live at the Filmore East didnt leave my cars cd player the entire time i had my car.

But for my money, Why not go for the best of both worlds and listion to some Yardbirds? Awesome blues band.

 

Stevie Ray Vaun takes my vote out of that list, he seemed to be the most diehard about his guitar playing to me.. although the others are great as well. they all did their part in changing the music world

 

Hendrix was a great player but he was a very inconsistent live performer, making too many mistakes. Hendrix played in an aggresive style and excelled at his use of effects and feedback - he was unmatched in that field.

 

i picked Hendrix but in my mind it was a tie between Hendrix or Clapton.

 

Hendrix is the best and will always be the best. There's no arguing that.
