I just added 2 - 300 watt LEDs to my 4x4 that already had a t5 light in it. Do you think this is over kill? Happy Growing!!!
Not at all. Get rid of the fluorescent since they don’t Flower well and get some quantum boards. Those 300 watt LEDs are probably only 100 watts each. Fluorescent needs like 60-70 watts per sf. Blurple LEDs needs 50 watts per sf. Quantum boards 35-40 watts per sf.
Oh yeah! I'm going to flip into flower Jan. 1st and I'll be taking the t5 out and putting a 1000 watt hps light with the LEDs Happy Growing!!!
I think that's a good veg and flower setup for what you own. T5 with led to veg and then hps with led to flower.. honestly though 1000w hps is more than enough in a 4x4 alone without supplement lighting so if it gets hot you can cut the LEDs and just go 1000w hps for flower. If you're buying new lights though you should invest in some HLG quantum boards or autocobs from cobshop.net They seem to be the leading brands as far as good leds goes... blurple just isnt even in the same ballpark even know it's all led. COB led is the way to go.. (quantum boards are cobs too)
