alright so basically what happened was I ended up getting a free "returned" grow tent from a company for several reasons I won't go into haha. it ended up showing up with all the pieces and everything was in perfect condition, the only thing it was missing was ONE of the over head bars. its a small 36x24x62" tent. So i've got the one 24" overhead bar and am missing the 36" bar (the ones to hang the lights/fan/filter from) any ideas on what to use to remedy this? I'm trying to avoid going through the company again. 6" carbon filter and 6" exhaust fan showing up on tuesdayish i think. thanks everyone for any help!
Wooden dowel. Cup out the end to fit snugly around the outside perimeter post. Drill a hole an inch in or so and zip tie it for extra strength
Easy peazy. I put a couple extra poles above in my 4x4 tent that works nicely. Just find/buy a pool pole. They usually Telescope out but is long enough when taken apart for 2 poles. Just drill a hole on each end going through and put a S hook through. I will take a picture in a few minutes when I get done here and show you. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I think I know what you’re saying and I think I did that too. It helps. I used a metal/green plastic gardening stake and zip ties on the corner ends to strengthen. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I used a wooden dowel to replace one of the outside perimeter posts of the frame is why I suggested it over pvc. PVC gives to much and will sag when you hang a light or other equipment from it unless you use ridiculously large PVC. Especially if the PVC gets warm.
You might be able to find some sort of clamp or pipe bracket that would attach to the end of the dowel and clip over or around the outside post. Maybe one of those metal conduit brackets. You would have to bend the end around the outside post and screw it into the dowel but should be very secure.
