Oven Baked or Deep Fried Turkey?

    Which do you prefer? All my life up until 4 years ago it has always been oven baked. After my first deep fry experince I am hooked! Tastes so much better, crispier and jucier! Oil can be a little expensive but you can re-use it 3 or 4 times. Oh and only an hour cook time for a 20lb bird is a plus. :hello::smoke:

    Deep Fried??

    I prefer my moms oven baked turkey.. nothing can top it.

    except fried turkey, only if you've never had it would you perfer oven baked. Im havign fried turkey today :D

    Deep fried turkey is the shit! But I also like oven baked too. :wave:

    Sorry no vote...No option for both.

    But I prefer a nice baked ham over turkey :yummy:

    I've never eaten a deep fried turkey but i still votred for it. Either way I'm eating a oven turkey tonight!:cool:

    Cook a turkey upside down. Soo delicious!

    I do remember having a fried bird at my aunt's house, it may have been better than oven baked but I actually think they taste so different that way and still generally prefer oven baked.

    We start ours in a smoker and then transfer it to the grill. So I guess that's like option 4?

    Always wanted a good deepfried turkey....maybe next year

    Really?? Sounds delicious! I've only done pork ribs in my smoker. What are the cooking times in the smoker for turkey? I'll have to give this a shot!

    This year we gave our turkey to this local owned restaraunt that specializes in jerkys and meats and they've been doing it for 30 years. I ordered prepared through deep pitting.

    Its gonna be so good.
