stories like these give me hope. Do you think this kind of thing happens in afghanistan? or a place where women are being oppressed? nope. These stories give me hope for our womens future. To me stories like this, are a symbol of womens rights, and were throwing them in jail for it. Its absolutely outrageous. Would rosa parks sit in the back of the classroom? no. She stood up for what she wanted.

Just my own personal story, it didn't deal with the police but since the state controls the school, I figured this is appropriate.
 
 
In 5th grade while I was waiting in line during lunch, there were a couple of fatter kids a year older who decided to try and put me in a trash can. Anyways as they attempted to lift me up as I wiggle around, I kicked the trash can over with my foot before they could do so. The security guard came, contacted one of the school "authorities" (another fat guy if that matters) and I, along with the other two fat kids who did this, got it trouble and had to sweep the cafeteria with them after school. Fucking redonkulous.

 

There was a time i was suspended for swinging my feet underneath the lunch table. It was labeled as potentially hazardous to other children

 

I recently read an article about a 5 year old getting suspended from his bus, detention, and has to write an apology letter to this bus driver for bringing a toy gun the size of a quarter to school...I little Lego man sized gun! It's getting worse everyday...that brainwashing Eric Holder spoke about seems to really be working huh?

God forbid a group of kids wants to play cops and robbers...schools would probably go into lockdown.

In a shocking display of the anti gun hysteria now plaguing public schools through the country, the Washington Post is reporting that a 5-year-old boy from Calvert County, Maryland was suspended for the rest of the year after bringing a toy gun onto his school bus.
The boy was also integrated by school officials for over two hours which caused the child to wet his pants in fear.

The child was questioned for more than two hours before his mother was called, she said, adding that he uncharacteristically wet his pants during the episode. The boy is 5 - “all bugs and frogs and cowboys,” his mother said.

According to the family, the boy's friend had brought a water gun on the bus a day earlier. On Wednesday, unbeknown to his parents, the boy stowed his cap gun - from Frontier Town near Ocean City - inside his backpack as he left for school.
He told his mother after the incident that he had “really, really” wanted to show his friend.
The mother was called by the principal at 10:50 a.m. and was told that her son had the cap gun and pretended to shoot someone on the bus. She said that both the kindergartner and his first-grade sister, sitting nearby on the bus, disputed that account.

“The school was quite obviously taking it very seriously, and he's 5 years old,” she said. “Why were we not immediately contacted?”
The family's attorney, Robin Ficker, said that the age of the child is important and that the incident could have been used as a teachable moment.
