Hello GC brothers & sisters, I plan to make 3 raised beds very soon, before spring sets in and I have all the wood, etc. I have been searching and searching but cannot find anything as to what to treat the untreated wood I have for the raised beds that will not harm the organics of the plants that will be in the beds. I was thinking about treating the wood with with Griffin's Spin-Out, but for the size of the beds, I think that would be very expensive. Here's what I want to do... I want to grow organic veggies, among "other" things in the beds and would like to treat the wood before I build it so that the wood will last not just a couple of seasons but more than a few years. The closest thing I've found is called, "Pre-made Organic Non-Toxic Lifetime Wood Treatment". Now I have no idea what brand makes such a thing and I'm sure I won't be able to find anything locally that carries that, whatever it is. Is there anything to treat the wood for the raised beds that is organic and/or not harmful to the roots and plants that will protect the wood from the weather, water, and soil, etc.? Any help and ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
