Hey guys, so I live in california and hope to start a grow on some low maintenence outdoor plants. I have a few questions-- Should i buy an autoflowering strain? Clones or seeds? Fertilizer? How often should i water them? Any other maintenence besides watering & removing males?
Most of those are up to you. I grew outdoors in oregon and used clones that were a few weeks old. I wanted earlier, bigger plants. Seedlings can't handle the april/may nights, so I had to use clones. Autos are okay for earlier/smaller bud if rippers are a problem. I will be doing 10 next year to hopefully get some late june/early aug bud so I don't have to harvest anything of my real stuff early. From may til mid june I never really watered because we got enough rain. When I did, it was mainly to add nutes. From july til sept I watered every other day. I used happy frog soil and Botanicare Pure Blend system. I added Luqid bloom (0-10-10) and molasses for flower. The last 3 weeks I used the powder kool bloom that had like 0-48-25 in smaller doses that helped pack em on real nicely. Check out the outdoor garden section, lots of good stuff there.
