ok so as spring time is here i want to start a grow outside. only reason its convenient is because i have woods behind my house with realllyy rich soil. i can easily find a place where if i plant somethin g it would get about 4 hours of direct light a day. so im lookign for some tips on how to get my plants started. i planted some one day and it sprouted and grew about 2 inches and then died. me and my friend tried t germinate some putting them between wet paper towels and ziplock bags but none of them sprouted. idk how old the seeds were tho. (if that even matters). also there is a creek in the woods so the soil near it is very sandy but closer to my house the dirt is darker. so i have a few questions. should i germinate the seeds first or just plant them straight into the ground? if so, should i germinate them the same way i did or is there a better way? should i plant them in the sandy dirt or the black dirt? what other tips do i need to get these little guys started? thanks in advance
